Injune in June Brings the Community Together
The Injune Caravan Park was buzzing with laughter, music, and community spirit over the weekend as locals and visitors gathered for another successful Injune in June Festival.
Held as a fundraiser for the Injune Museum, an exciting tourism project celebrating the region’s timber industry, local history, and unique stories, the event showcased exactly what makes our community so special: people coming together to support a great cause.
Guests were treated to a delicious camp oven dinner prepared by the dedicated Hodgson Hall Committee, while award winning entertainer Cathy Drummond kept the evening flowing as both MC and headline performer. Together with talented local singers and entertainers, she created an unforgettable atmosphere filled with music, laughter, and community pride.
Families were well catered for, with Alyce from Paint That Face Painting delighting children with colourful face painting and creative balloon twisting. A special highlight for many young visitors was the chance to get up close to the brand new fire truck, thanks to our local Fire and Rescue team. We sincerely thank them for joining us and for the invaluable service they provide to our community every day.
Events like Injune in June simply would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors. A heartfelt thank you goes to Brodie Parker Building, Johnson Drilling, and Maranoa Regional Council for their financial contributions, helping make this community event another great success.
Behind every successful event is an incredible team of volunteers who generously give their time and energy. To everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, thank you for your dedication. And to every person who attended, shared a meal, enjoyed the entertainment, and supported local fundraising efforts, thank you. Your support helps ensure community events like this continue to thrive while contributing to projects that will benefit Injune for years to come.
The Injune in June Festival was a wonderful reminder of the strength, generosity, and spirit of our community. We cannot wait to do it all again next year.
