Mark your calendars and pack your winter woollies! The last Saturday in June is just around the corner, which means it is officially time to head to Injune for an unforgettable night of music, live entertainment, and true community spirit at our annual Injune In June Festival.
Whether you are a local resident, a grey nomad passing through, or an outback road-tripper exploring the majestic Maranoa region and the town of Injune, this year’s festival promises a fantastic mid-winter evening. Located just south of the breathtaking Carnarvon Gorge, Injune is the perfect base for your wilderness adventures. This evening festival is the ultimate way to experience the genuine warmth, hospitality, and famous local vibes of our region. Set against the charming, rustic backdrop of the Injune Caravan Park, it’s a true outback celebration.

Fun for the Whole Family (Starting at 3:00 PM!)
Bringing the little ones along? The fun kicks off early just for the children. From 3:00 PM, we have fantastic kids’ activities lined up to keep the children entertained, including incredible face painting and creative balloon twisting by Paint That. To keep those rumbling tummies happy, we’ll also fire up a sausage sizzle ($5.00) for the kids at 5:00 PM. It’s the perfect way for families to settle in and enjoy the afternoon before the main event begins.
Music, Stories, and Starry Skies
The Injune In June Festival is more than just a night of entertainment, it’s a heartfelt celebration of our community, our local talent, and our shared love for music and performance.
The main stage action kicks off with a performance from entertainer Cathy Drummond who offers a range of musical styles and genres from the 40’s to the modern day.
The night will also include a variety of walk-up performances, poetry readings, and hilarious jokes from local characters across the Maranoa region. This is your chance to see some of our finest homegrown talents showcase their skills and share their stories. Are you a musician yourself? We always love welcoming fresh faces! Feel free to bring your instrument along and join in the fun, there is always room for more talent under our outback stars.
Fireside Comforts and Delicious Food
As the crisp winter air rolls in, we will gather around cozy campfires to stay warm, share stories, and make memories after a long day of exploring. To keep you fully fueled for the night’s festivities, we are serving up a mouth-watering, three-course camp dinner for just $30 per person. Warm up with homemade hot pumpkin soup, followed by a hearty camp-oven main served with delicious campfire damper.
To ensure you have the ultimate, laid-back festival experience, we highly encourage everyone to bring along their own camp chairs. Quench your thirst with a drink from our on-site bar (please note: strictly NO BYO alcohol). Sit back, relax, and enjoy great times in even better company. For your convenience, EFTPOS will be available on the night.
